Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a water softener cost in the Tampa Bay area?

It depends on the size of your home, your water, and the features you need. We give you a firm quote after a free in-home water test, so you're never guessing. We offer options for a range of budgets, and financing is available.

Is the water hard in Pinellas County and Tampa Bay?

Yes. Most of the area has very hard water, which is why so many homes here deal with scale on faucets, spotted dishes, dry skin, and shortened appliance life.

Does the city water here have chlorine or chloramine?

Most municipal water in our area is treated with chloramine, which is harder to remove than plain chlorine. We size our carbon filtration systems specifically to handle it.

What's the difference between a water softener and a saltless conditioner?

A softener removes hardness minerals using ion exchange, giving you that classic soft-water feel. A saltless conditioner changes how minerals behave so they don't form scale, with no salt and no wastewater, but it does not remove the minerals. Which one fits depends on your water and your goals.

Will a water softener help my skin and hair?

Most customers notice less dryness and need less soap, shampoo, and lotion after switching to softened water.

Do I need a reverse osmosis system if I have a softener?

They do different jobs. A softener treats all the water in your house; an RO system polishes your drinking water at the kitchen tap. Many homes use both.

Is my tap water safe to drink?

Municipal water in our area meets federal standards. Safe doesn't always mean great-tasting, though. Hardness, chloramine, and mineral buildup affect taste and quality, which filtration or reverse osmosis can improve.

How long does a water softener last?

A properly sized, well-maintained system typically lasts many years. Correct sizing for our hard water is the biggest factor, which is why we test before we recommend.

Why is there white scale or buildup on my faucets and glasses?

That's hard-water scale: minerals left behind when water evaporates. A softener or conditioner prevents it.

Do you install, or just sell equipment?

Both. We're a local Pinellas County company. We test, recommend, install, and service what we sell.

What areas do you serve?

Largo, Seminole, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Tampa, and the surrounding Tampa Bay area.

How do I know which system is right for my home?

Start with our free 10-minute water test. We measure hardness and water chemistry, talk through your household size and goals, and recommend what actually fits, with no pressure.
